I had been on this same quest for quite awhile myself. After many trials and failed hopes I finally found a free program that is comparable to many of the pay services. It's called Spyware Terminator and although as it's name implies it is mainly an anti-spyware program, it does have optional antivirus integration through the clamAV database, which is also free. You can get it from http://www.SpywareTerminator.com and also includes free updates. I do not recommend installing the Web Security Guard function as it is cumbersome and I noticed some slowing with it. Instead I also run SpywareBlaster also available for free from http://www.javacoolsoftware.com/spywareblaster.html which blocks known spyware and other malicious software from loading onto your computer in the first place. It's a very small program and doesn't slow your computer at all. Updates on this are also free, unless you want them automatically then you have to pay. As far as your pop-ups go they could be caused by spyware but not likely a virus. You might also want to switch to a more secure browser like Firefox (free at http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/ . I hope this information helps. I know how frustrating that situation can be.

I hate to interrupt it to ya, if your laptop supposedly has a sturdy processor, then i think of its risk-free to anticipate you have sufficient memory. So in different words BitDefender isn't "the main suitable". And for 30.00 to procure ripped. i take advantage of Symantec Endpoint 11.0 and it costs 265.00. I doubt something costing 30.00 may well be classifed because of the fact the main suitable. All antivirus classes have their weaknesses. AVG loose is sturdy nonetheless, it in basic terms supplies very uncomplicated risk-free practices, yet for loose you cant get plenty extra advantageous.

It depend on you, if you want to get the legal one, you can search it in google like " free edition antivirus " or you can search it directly to the website like if you want to get AVG free edition, you can type URL " http://www.grisoft.com" and search for free edition. If you want to get the powerful ones, you can download a trial version of a pay antivirus program like BitDefender Antivirus, Kaspersky Antivirus, Bitdefender Total Security, etc. Then search the keygen or crack in crack website like " http://www.keygen.ms", "http://www.crackteam.com", "http://www.crack.ms"etc. And you can find the other website in this yahoo answer or in the google. But this is important that the crack website is ilegal, harmful or contain virus.

The best free anti-virus is Avast. It will help protect you against adware and spyware. The free versions of AVG and AntiVir only help protect you against actual viruses.

SuperAntiSyware and AVG AntiSpyware are the best of the freebies, ahead of Windows Defender, Ad-Aware and Spybot Search & Destroy. I'd suggest SuperAntiSpyware *and* Windows Defender as the later works in real-time mode.

Also get a good firewall, one that doesn't let your personal info leak out:
