Question:
How do I remove a bunch of trojan viruses without being able to go to the anti-virus sites and DL software?

I have a TON of viruses that aren't showing up on my AVG scan. I already removed 44 trojan viruses during the first scan, then I rebooted my computer and i was still getting mass popups and every time i went to any anti-virus site it would say The network link was interrupted while negotiating a connection. Please try again. I already did some research and found out that if a virus changes the HOSTS file it could redirect you to another site, but I already checked the host file and it was fine.
If the viruses/trojans don't show up in my virus scans, then how do i get rid of them manually? The virus is getting awful and every minute or two i get another popup. Also when i go to google and type something in and click on the link it opens a seperate tab and goes to an entirely different site and tries to get me to download a bunch of crap.

You should use an antivirus program and antispyware software, because your computer is now infected with viruses and/or spyware.

Here you have more information on computer security, as well as good and free programs that you can download into your computer:

The website list top ten the best and newest anti-spyware in 2009.

All are safe and can be trusted and you can download one.

Download a copy of HijackThis to a USB flash drive. Use a friend's computer if you can't get yours to do the job.

Run HijackThis and save the log file to the USB flash drive.

Go back to your friend's computer and look at the HJT log file. Use Google to research any of the files that you don't know what they do. The first few times you review an HJT log, it will take a bit of work until you learn what is supposed to be there.

One of the programs will probably turn out to be a hijacker. It may even have a strange name and be easy to spot. Make notes so that you can find the program as well as repair the registry from your notes.

Remove the problem programs from the registry by running HIjackthis and checking the box next to it. Your Google search should turn up any info such as needing a special removal tool if HijackThis can't remove it.

Once it is removed from the registry, usually it is gone. Use your notes to find the problem program and rename it. If everything works ok, you can probably delete the program in a week.

If this doesn't fix it, then you may have more problems.

I suggest running a firewall such as Zonealarm that checks outgoing connections as well and incomming connections. You can even use it to selectively cut stuff off from the internet by changing it's net permissions. This might also help find any problem programs when they try to get internet access through the firewall.

You may also want to run an adware remover such as Adaware.

If you still need help, send me a copy of the HijackThis log file and tell me what scanners you have used. I assume that all your definitions are current for all the scanners. We may be dealing with something that is new and not in any of the anti-virus definitions yet.

This is basically how I taught my sister to handle her computer problems. I haven't heard so much as a peep about computer problems in well over a year now.

You need to stay off the Internet until you have removed all the malware from your computer; it sounds like a root-kit has installed itself on your computer and is able to evade AVG. Root-kits are extremely hard to get rid of.

Try this :

Unplug from the Internet, or turn off the wireless router if you are using a wireless connection.

Restart the computer and press and hold down the F8 key as it starts up. A menu will appear, use the up and down arrow keys to get Safe Mode, and press Enter.

After the computer finishes starting up, start Windows Explorer and go to

C:\WINDOWS\System32

and run the program MRT.exe

It is called the Malicious software Removal Tool and is a Microsoft program written to remove certain mal-ware programs, including known root-kits.

It is updated once a month.

If this does not work, and the other suggestions do not work, your only option is to copy all your data (documents, videos, pictures, music) to a CD or DVD or external hard drive and then reinstall the factory software, which will wipe out all malware.

Either way, this will take several hours. Save your data now.

Did you run the check with the internet disconnected? Take the phone cable out of the computer and run it again. Do it in safe mode if you can. If you can download from the internet, use this site...

You need Spybot; Ad aware; AVG; Malwarebytes, Ccleaner. If you can download any of them, install and run them. Spybot and Malwarebytes first up. Ccleaner next, then Ad aware.

Have you been using open proxy servers?

The bottom line in a situation like this is to format the hard drive and reload from the setup drive or disk. Nothing else is 100% guaranteed to work.
