Make sure you are on the adminstrator account on your computer. Also, some safety programs will not let you change settings to the computer without going through the program, if you have one of those. Deep freeze comes to mind as one of those programs.

There is a new virus out, can't remember what it is called but it trys to lower your computers security level. Update and run your virus scanner
