How to remove virus from computer?

I am not a computer savvy person... could someone tell me step by step how to remove the My Disk virus from my desktop computer, please? Thanks

My Disk is a well documented virus and not particularly malicious.

Look for 'Automated Removal Instructions for My Disk using Malwarebytes'..about half way down the page.



The key program is 'Malwarebytes' .It will also remove most other types of spyware (not the most malicious ones) and is always the first thing to try.

Usually rootkit hides it's presence...and disguises as some Windows System File...which is why the trojan is hard to find and delete. But Reimage works by comparing the OS system files with the correct files from a web repository of 25 million Windows components. This is the sole reason you can get a PC as good as new, most antivirus and antimalware programs just delete the virus...but they don't correct the damage...which results in re-infection and slow performing PC

Get a anti virus software....

example:avg....you can download it from www.avg.com...

get the free version,download it,install it,then later do 'whole computer scan'

after scaning,when virus will be detected click on remove virus or watever is written...also do upgrade and restart your pc....

This virus doesn't install anything in the registry so, Reboot the pc in safe mode, control panel, folder options, view, check view hidden files then ok.

Now go to drive c, docs and settings, your profile(i hope admin) local settings, temp.

delete all that is in this folder.

Reboot and use your comp I succeeded this way and my comp is as good as before
