problem with garmin etrex 10 with deleting downloaded items?

i have a garmin etrex 10 handheld gps unit for geocaching , once i have downloaded geocaches onto the unit from the computer, and found them, how do i delete them off to make space for more? the handbook supplied does not mention how to do this

Use Basecamp to manage the Geocaches.

Once installed and the eTrex 10 connected the geocaches will show up on the list which can be deleted from there.

Basecamp is a free download from Garmin and is included with their Topo DVDs.

I have an etrex 10. First, make sure your GPS is turned on when you connect it to your computer. Then when you click on "Send to my GPS" you will get some type of message saying that it doesn't recognize your device. Then it will give you a link to download. Be sure to select "Garmin" and download it. I had to try it a couple of times. The first attempt didn't work.
