2010-06-28 22:52:03 UTC
I'm on my moms laptop since my dumb computer didn't work.
I'll tell you what happened..

5 minutes ago my computer started going wacky by clicking everything and then kept pressing enter by itself as I typed stuff..
so I got frusterated and went to restart my computer, and I did so.
but now my whole computer is effing frozen, I can't click ANYWHERE it won't let me click anywhere and it just stays at what I tried to open when I turned it back on..its really making me mad.

I can't take it to a computer shop.. really I can't.. but please please help me.
What can I do to save my computer. it was a vista and it was fast and just randomly changed 5 mins ago

thanks

i've done that stupid "safe mode" no freaking thing happened.
Im ready to smash my precious computer with a sledge hammer..

I can't run the anti virus stuff because if I click the google chrome once, 51 freaking tabs come open and freeze.

I feel like crying seriously I do and really like I said before I CANT bring it to a professional I CANT.

It almost sounds like a virus entered your computer and now is causing havoc...try the safe mode again...seriously....and if you can get to the main screen...click on Start > run > type in CHKDSK...that will bring command up and should start scanning your computer for missing files that are corrupt and it will replace them with backups on the computer.....

If you can't get that far then the only thing i would suggest as a last resort is reformatting the computer...if you have the original disk.......

The problem you are describing is a malfunction of the Windows .exe program........

also try to get to Start > all programs > accessories > system tools > system restore...........restore your computer to an earlier time the same day....before this happenend........

If your track is telling you it's out of frequency variety then one among 2 matters is without doubt fallacious. Your snap shots drivers aren't right Your settings aren't right. The ripple end result is an flawed refresh cost prompted by way of both flawed settings or flawed motive force. Try this, first appear on the drivers, press the Windows brand key and the pause button for your keyboard (a nifty shortcut) and the System Properties Box opens (works in XP and Vista). Open the Device Manager tab, appear for Display Adaptors. It must have a brands title in (ATi NVidia and so forth) if it says Standard or default then the correct drivers aren't loaded. Download and set up from the brands internet site this may without doubt clear up your trouble. Alternatively, if the drivers look to be right, correct click on a clean house for your computing device, prefer houses, prefer Settings, examine the display determination, for now prefer 1024 x 768. Then open the Advanced settings (button curb correct) relying at the variant and the program controller (a few manufacturers set up there possess) there may be prone to be a tab referred to as Monitor. What you're watching for is the Screen Refresh Rate, the bottom default is 60Hz and your track could also be able of a lot bigger however set it to 60, observe after which examine if the trouble is solved. If so broaden the determination first till you get the dimensions you wish after which broaden the refresh cost to get the readability you wish. You might discover there's a button so they can show all of the quite a lot of choices adding a tick field that says Hide what this track can not show, that narrows the discipline substantially.

did safe mode even come up in your case? or did it stop loading after a whack of software lines?

if you can enter safe mode, aside from using your current antivirus to scan, run malwarebytes antimalware (download and install). If net is inaccessible, download the product using a different computer and then install via usb.

If safe mode does not work, i would suggest the use of a live linux disc. Go onto another computer, google ubuntu, download the program, burn it into disc, run the disc in the infected pc and install ubuntu. Once you're in, go to www.avast.com and search for the linux version of avast antivirus and then install and run the scan on your windows drive. This may sound a little bit complicated but its actually quite user friendly if you are willing to learn what to do.

here's 2 sites i find would help you to solve your problems, give them a good read

Sounds more like a dumb user then a dumb computer. Use the bleeping computer forum like the guy above me said. If you knew how to use computers for anything other then mysoace, you would know not to use this site for serious questions.

Lack of cash, huh? There's plenty of free help around but here isn't the best place. Reckon you missed my comments to head for a forum and sign up. Here are links to two good forums again:

http://forums.majorgeeks.com/register.php

http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/index.php?act=Reg

You really would find it easier to get help at those places, mainly because it's conversation style and also because people who don't know what they are talking about will be pulled up or if necessary, their message will be deleted by a moderator.

do not take hammer to it it will not help it ot you. Instead try system retore under accesories, then system then restoresystemback to a date when you know it was working correctly., and follow it's directions. good luck.
