Why does windows 7 separated IE from the OS but not the windows before windows 7 ?

Why is windows 7 better for security than vista and why can you get less malware on windows 7 than vista ? It seems it is harder to get malware on windows 7 than vista!!

What new stuff will windows 7 have that vista will not.

The difference between vista and windows 7 is the underlying technology, however don't be confused, Windows 7 and Vista do share several technology's and if you run Windows 7 you'll see that there are many similiar features compared to Vista.



As far as the browser, that is nothing new, Microsoft had issues with Europe with Windows XP has well, the same issues that they are having now. Internet Explorer 8 is included with Windows 7 if your copy is purchased in Canada, North America, South America's or any country that is outlined in Microsoft's treated documents. With Viruses and Malware, I've already ran Windows 7 on 2 virtual PC's before I deployed it on my main PC and I still was able to get a virus as well as malware on it, so it's not invinicible and can still be infected.

IE has to be separated so that they can distribute an IE-free version of Windows in Europe (thanks to Operas court case). Before now there was no reason to.



I certainly hope a more up to date operating system is more secure than an older operating system. The same way that Vista is more secure than XP, and XP is more secure than Win 2000. Windows 7 contains the latest in security technology.



Windows 7 has a completely new taskbar, one that may take a little getting used to but it's still pretty cool. Windows 7's main changes are with the UI, particularly with improved speed and quicker start up and shut down times.
