Question:
Mcafee detected and removed Ave.exe. But I have a question?

It detected Ave.Exe and removed that along with two other things seemingly connected to Ave.exe. The virus scan is still running however so I don't know if more will be picked up. My question is: since ave.exe pops-up every time an exe file is opened, will it do so again now that it is removed? Will I be able to access my exe files? Ave.exe was seemingly removed after I ended the process and had mcafee delete it. Will I be able to open any exe files after this? I'd try now, but I want to make sure mcafee has removed everything before opening something else.

I don't know the details on the infection, however it sounds like it messes with the registry if you cannot access your executable files, i recommend you try this- http://www.eusing.com/free_registry_cleaner/registry_cleaner.htm

if you can't install it because its A EXE file try running it from a flash drive. And check your registry. This URL tells you what it is - http://htlogs.com/avaexe-is-main-file-of-av-antispyware/ - Also after you run the reg cleaner your CPU will be a bit faster. Remaining virus and malware should be detected although there is malware McAfee wont detect.

Never run EXES from a unknown source especially antivirus most anti virus people take credit for what they make so if its a unknown publisher don't use it unless your sure its safe.
