Download the free 'Spybot search & destroy' and do a scan. I've been using Spybot for about 5 years & it's never caused me any problems, so just remove anything Spybot tells you is a problem (it also has a restore button in case anything goes wrong, but I've never had to use it).

Another one I've been using for about 3 months is 'Advanced Windows Cleaner Version 2 for personal use' & it is excellent (& free). There is an update to version 2 but it's only a beta so I haven't tried it.

You should be able to get both at Cnet or Major Geeks or File Hippo.

You could also try 'Windows Defender' & 'Windows Live Safety Center free online tool' from Microsoft.

If all else fails there is a freebie called 'Hijack This' that will get it if you know where to look - but be carefull with this one. If you delete the wrong thing with 'Hijack this' your computer will go to god.

Good Luck

Windows cant delete files or a program that are “live”. This means the program or some elements of it are actually running. The program or one its services may be running silently in the background or being shared with another application. To disconnect all applications associated with the program, Press Crtl-Alt-Delete time to pull up the task manager. You will need to disable all the services associated with the program. Here is how:

1. Open your "Start"menu.

2. Click “Run”

3. In the command screen type "msconfig.exe"

4. In the "system configuration utility",click "service"

5. Uncheck all executable(.exe) files associated with the program you want to remove.

6. Click "OK"

After this procedure you may be able to use the program uninstall feature to remove the program.

I think your system and usb are infected with a trojan. Download Spybot -Search & Destroy, update it and scan your system with USB already inserted into the port. If Spybot detects the trojan i am sure that it will likely shred the trojan as well from your USB drive.

You can find Spybot at http://www.safer-networking.org [It is a freeware]

Previous answers could be right and you can determine by installing Antivirus. AVG is free and pretty good. One thing not mentioned is that you could be in an offline files synchronization loop. Not sure of your Operating system but try going to Control panel-->folder options-->offline files tab--- uncheck enable offline files. Retry deleting it and see what happens
