I think I may have a virus. My computer security is not working anymore. All I get is an error message. It says something about the objlib.dll file. I was wondering do I delete the file so my computer works again or is it something I need? Thanks in advance for your help.

My advice to anyone with a similar problem is the same: Go to www.grisoft.com. Download AVG Anti-Virus. There is a small registration fee but it is definitely worth it. I had a virus on my system that the much praised Norton couldn't find and didn't know about. AVG found it, removed it and saved my system.



Most .dll files are used in the background by different programs. I don't recommend deleting that particular one unless you know exactly what it is for.

Install it

And go

2 Schedule boot time scan



It will then restart and do a check on your computer and it will find your virus and ask you to pres 1 to delete them.
