I had download a free anti-virus. Before and during the trial period, there is no problem to open file attachment in email. After 3 months trial, I decided not to subscribe this anti-virus. I can not delete any folder regarding this anti-virus in my pc. Subsequently, I can not open any file attachment in my email. In the scan result show no virus treat detected. No respone after click download attachment icon. How to solve this problem?

open up your my computer and at the very top you will see uninstall/change programs, click that and then a list of programs will open up and find the software you do not want and click on it then go back up to the top and click on uninstall, program will be removed,

you may have to turn off the process since it is probably still running on your machine in the background. Go to the start menu click run then type in msconfig click on the services tab uncheck the box next to the antivirus.

once that is done, click apply then ok. Reboot. You will get a pop up check the donot show me again and accept the changes.

then go to the control panel and click add remove programs. you will then be able to remove the antivirus with no problems - hopefully.

You should have an antivirus app. so you should find one prior to surfing the net. if you do not have one, you are opening up your computer for a multitude of problems

good luck!

Clean uninstall of your Anti virus is required.

Use CCleaner for uninstalling and clearing all registry keys and temps. Best free tool.

Hi,

try "Add & Remove" in safe Mode to get rid of it, this should work.
