SpyShredder-how to delete/uninstall?

This program appeared out of nowhere telling me my computer was infected please purchase software.....well i thought it was a bit dodgy, so i googled it and found that....yes it is!

Now im trying to delete/uninstall the program but it keeps sating

'cannot do. exit s-s'

What does this mean?????

Any help much appreciated! Curently running McAfee, but i dont now if it can deal with this.....

Spyshredder is spyware. You can delete it until h*** freezes over and it will keep coming back because that's what spyware does. McAfee cannot help you here - you need antispyware. SuperAntiSpyware is probably the best at getting this kind of stuff off your computer, but only if you keep it updated and run it, preferably weekly.

happened to us also. We kept deleting it out of programs and it would just come back till finially one day windows security caught it and put it in our virus vault. Since then it has not shown itself again. It was a real pain in the neck. Just keep xing out of it for now, don't let it complete its down load and hopfully for you your security will also catch it. Hope someon here can answer this for you. Good luck

Run an anti-spyware scan and see if you can remove it. If not, search the web for info on how to remove it. You might be able to remove it in the registry or task manager.
