It sounds like you need a multi-domain certificate, which are ssl certificates that can secure multiple domains (including wildcard domains and fqdns) and hostnames in a single ssl certificate. They are ideal for cloud services where the number of allocated ip addresses are limited yet must be shared with multiple virtual hosts.Their are sites like SSL.com that sell all the different certificates and they would be able to confirm exactly what you need.

It depends completely on the SSL certificate. Some will cover multiple domain names (these are normally more expensive), some will cover a single domain + all of it's sub domains (www., secure, example, anything.site.com) and some will only cover a specific, specified sub/domain (secure.site.com or example.site.com site.com/anything-after) etc

If in doubt, I recommend you ask your hosting provider exactly what it is you're trying to accomplish. They should be willing to point you into the right direction.

I'm reasonably sure the Domain Names get the SSL certification, so normally every one would need it. Here's one service that bundles multiple names under one SSL

There are also different levels of certification, you have to get a better one to get the company name appearing in the URL bar if a browser.
