It appears something is wrong with my computer because I keep getting pop-ups and so far Malwarebytes and Avast Antivirus have not detected anything. I looked at Windows Processes tab in Wondows Task Manager and found a process I have never seen called 8xaXyM1r.exe...Google doesnt show any results for it...I have a funny feeling it may be what's causing my computer problems...can anyone give me more info? Thanks.

8xaXyM1r.exe is for sure a threat and if it is in task manager you can end it. No doubt about it. Any group of random numbers and/or letters is considered a threat.

here is my suggestion:

Disable your security software before running rkill

Use rkill

Now read this tutorial on Malwarebytes real good so you know what to do

It is most likely what will be causing the problems the easiest way to fix it would be to terminate the process by right clicking it in task manager and going end process then click start and then run and type msconfig.exe then click the start up tab and remove the tick from the item that refers to this process (It may also be under the services tab but be careful of stopping system services). then click ok and reboot. I would also submit the exe file to avast etc for analysis and try scanning your computer with spybot search and destroy and even avg free edition can find viruses that other programs can't.

boot into safe mode and rescan. If a process is running and it's a virus it can be doing it's job by hiding it. Safe mode/ Rescan is your best bet.
