How would you compare ClamWin (and the other ClamAV-based scanners) to the other free antivirus?

PS: I already have a different anti-virus and I use the portable version of clamwin that runs on my usb port.

I just installed it myself... Have had no AV software whatsoever for the last 2 1/2 years (no need... use LINUX) but I just installed it so I could let friends access mp3s I've collected, just in case some of those files are infected I wouldn't contaminate their computers by accident.



So far I like it... pretty straightforward interface... easy to use.



When I was a windows guy I used AVG though, had never heard of Clam before making the switch.

Clamwin does not do real time scans as you open files.

You need to do system scans with Clamwin.
