The recycling bin is on my desktop and when I opened it it froze up and then an option came up and it said delete but I thought it meant delete what was in the recycling bin. Now I cant find the recycling bin anywhere! Is there anyway I can get it back.

PS. I deleted just a random unimportant file that would normally go to my recycling bin, hoping that maybe it would pop up but it didnt :( PLEASE HELP!

You can't completely delete the recycle bin you can only choose for it to not show on your desktop. But it would depend on which version of windows you have.

Go to the control panel. To do this, click the Start Button and in the search button, type Control Panel.

On control panel, double click personalization which will take you to customizing your desktop settings.

At the top left, you will see "Change Desktop Icons." Click on that and you will be taken to the Desktop Icon Settings.

Click the Recycle Bin checkbox and click apply. Then click OK. This will restore the recycling bin to the Vista Desktop. Please remember that in the future, to use the "Empty Recycle Bin" instead of the "Delete" option.

Just right click on a blank spot of your desktop, select Personalize, then select change desk top icons, not click on recycle bin and then restore default
