PLEASE B4 ANSWERING... READ EVERYTHING SO I COULD GET THE MOST HELP POSSIBLE. YOUR COOPERATION WILL BE GREATLY APPRECIATED!
I have this Net Nanny put on my computer becaue my younger brother went through some stuff he shouldn't have. I can't go on Facebook because my parents won't remove it. So I found out through "word of mouth" that you could terminate the system through the "Processes" section.
THIS IS WHAT I DID:
Went to desktop, and clicked ctrl alt and delete.
A screen showed up and I opened up the NEt Nanny program and found it under the Processes section as follows
"Processes"
Image Name... cwAdminTools.exe
Now I have the option to terminate it but before I do a screen shows up and says following
Warning: Terminating a process can cause undesired results including loss of data and system instability. The process will not be given the chance to save its state or data before it is terminated. Are you sure you want to terminate the process?

-So here's the real question... will it delete any memory? I do have a lot of pictures stored and a lot of other info like "Internet Web History" and other stuff. Will that be deleted or only the Net Nanny?

Your doing the process exactly how you want to be doing it. Ending the process of the Nanny monitor :) and doing your thing. Then when you want to have the Nanny Program Back up :) just Double click the Nanny Program Or Reboot The computer. NO the process that you did will not HARM anything EXCEPT the information that the Nanny Program saves so that your parents can view what your little brothers been viewing. Your doing it right no worries :)

NO, ending this process should not damage anything, it will tell you that message no matter what process you are ending. However I would recomend another alternative that I've used before. My parents used to have a program called Inetprotector that restricted the use of the internet for certain times. What i did was go into the programs files and simply drag it out of there to the desktop, then when i wanted to enable it again I just moved it back. I did this because the computer actually wouldnt let me end the process.I would think that the same thing would work in this case, and with no harm done. Either way it shouldnt effect the temporary internet files.

Hope this helps

doing it will not harm your system ,but how old are you and how old is your brother ,if your mom says to you to dont go out with strangers ,will you go ,turning of internet protectors is same as refusing your parents ,also it will let your brother to do things on internet that your parents dislike he do on internet ,and if some thing bad happens to your brother because of internet ,will you be responsible .

any way if you ended it up ,before your brother use it ,shutdown or restart computer ,its better you ask your mom to let you use facebook ,netnanny will have a place to rate web sites as safe to brows.

No you wont loose any memory it will just force the program to close but i dont think this will solve ye prob because when you log back into comp it will be back.

The best thing to do is to ask ye mum to remove it for you or to unblock facebook.
