Trogan Virus?

I recieved a link by one of my friends, which I clicked without reading and the moment I clicked, my anti-virus software popped up saying that they are detected a trojan and put it in the qurantine [sp]. Are this viruses passed through msn messeneger a big threat to you computer? Because after I removed the trojan from the qurantine, my computer still works the same. So, I just wanted to know, do I have to seek help from a techinican or something or do I just ignore it?

All trojans are different but they are designed to still mess up with a computer security. If you restored the Trojan form quarantine you are in for a lot of trouble but if you deleted it you are ok. Just start up your system in safe mode and do a system scan incase.

usually when av detect virus, it will end the virus process if any then it will qurantine it.

virus that spread through msn mssgr usually add value messengger to the registry.

better if you update your antivirus and scan your computer.

avira is one of the best free av available today.

u also can download clean up utility such as CCLeaner if your computer running too slow.

additional, install antispyware program(ad-aware and Spybot s&d)

You done the right thing so just ignore it....it never hurts to run anouther virus scan anyway.

Yes, all Trojans and viruses no matter what risk level are dangerous. If you removed it from your quarantine and it's been totally deleted, it's gone.

your virus program did what it is suppose to do keep you in the house till you get your pants on



And if you do go outside it makes sure only friends see you
