i am trying to download some music on my mp3. some times it works. sometimes it doesnt. when it doesn't, it said

Disk E: is write protected
files cannot be saved on a write-protected disk.

what does this mean?

what can i do to fix it? be clear and specific please because i know almost nothing about this stuff. i only know what a USB and an mp3 is. i dont know what disk it's talking about.

Hi Ayee,

The 'disk' is the storage on your MP3 player when you connect it - usually flash memory. There is probably a lock switch on the side of the player. This needs to be open when you are transferring music files from the computer.

I can only be as specific as your question is which isnt very specific. We have NO idea whether your e drive is a cd/dvd rom or burner, no idea whether that drive is a hard drive or restore partition!
