Antivirus Vista 2010, Win 7 Antispyware 2010, and XP Internet Security 2010 are new rogues that are exactly the same program, but are shown with different names and interfaces depending on the version of Windows that it is run on. After I wrote this guide, I was told that this rogue goes under quite a few different names, which I have listed below:

* Antivirus Vista 2010

* Vista Antispyware 2010

* Vista Guardian

* Vista Antivirus Pro

* Vista Internet Security

* Vista Internet Security 2010

* XP Guardian

* XP Antivirus Pro

* XP AntiSpyware 2010

* XP Internet Security

* XP Internet Security 2010

* Antivirus XP 2010

* Antivirus Win 7 2010

* Win7 Guardian

* Win 7 Antivirus Pro

* Win 7 Antispyware 2010

* Win 7 Internet Security

* Win 7 Internet Security 2010

Because the XP Internet Security 2010 virus (Antivirus Vista 2010 virus or Win 7 Antispyware 2010 virus – depending on the OS your are running, as they are exactly the same virus, with altered names) will pose numerous problems in downloading the files (and even viewing this removal guide), you’ll have to use a secondary computer to download the needed files, and then use an USB stick to transfer them to the infected computer.

Step 1 : Go to our download page http://www.malwarebytes.org and download Malwarebytes’ Anti-Malware (we will further call it MBAM) and then transfer it to the USB flash drive.

Step 2: Download the registry fix http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/virus-removal/remove-antivirus-vista-2010 (developed by bleepingcomputer) and transfer it to the USB stick also.

Step 3: Now connect the USB stick to the infected computer. It is very important that you get the XP Internet Security 2010 virus, Antivirus Vista 2010 virus, or Win 7 Antispyware 2010 virus running. If it is not already, run an executable file from your computer.

Step 4: Run the FixExe.reg file. When asked click “Yes” to add the data to your computer.

Step 5: Now run the mbam-setup.exe file (one trick that works when dealing with rogues such as this one is to rename the setup for MBAM before running it. For instance, rename mbam-setup.exe to “softsailor.exe” and then run it).

Step 6: Proceed with the normal MBAM installation. When you are able to check the “Update MBAM” and “Launch MBAM” boxes, please do so.

Step 7: Once MBAM is up and running, go to the main scanner tab, select the quick scan and press the scan button. Now please wait as MBAM will scan your computer for any traces of Antivirus Vista 2010 virus (or Win 7 Antispyware 2010 virus or XP Internet Security 2010 virus – depending on the OS you are using).

Step 8: When the scan is complete, hit the “Show Results” button. Select all the detected infections and click “Remove Selected”. MBAM will now remove any malware it found on your computer.

Step 9: When MBAM has finished removing XP Internet Security 2010 virus, Antivirus Vista 2010 virus, or Win 7 Antispyware 2010 virus and any other malware it detected, a scan log will open in Notepad. Review this file if you want, then close it.

Now you should have successfully removed XP Internet Security 2010 virus, Antivirus Vista 2010 virus, or Win 7 Antispyware 2010 virus from your computer.

If this removal guide did not work, please leave a comment detailing what went wrong and maybe we (or our readers) can come up with a solution for you.

The best way is to download Ccleaner here http://bitly.com/UrALrK

Or you can go on Windows operating system locate the command prompt and go there to do the following:

Create a Recovery file of system and date it today.

Then begin by;

delete the 'Temp' folders..they have hidden subfolders so you need to set the attributes in order to bypass this. For each subfolder delete all cookies and rubbish left behnd after install-uninstalled programs. Do a 'dir' command to check your progress. Make sure the 'Temp' file is empty.

goto c:\windows\prefetch and delete everything in there..no exceptions

goto c:\windows folder and delete all the '$' files that have been installed by updates. They can all be succesfully deleted and just take up disk space.

Locate the Internet Temporary Files..Check to see how high the saving level is..some have it set at 30 days..but that stores faaaar tooo much data..though it slows down the system overal. Keep this to a minimum..suggest 2 or 5 at most.

Delete all 'cookies' all those you don't need.

Locate the windows directory and go through the folders you know and those you don't need. Check this once a week at least. Some programs will install under XP as NT and older systems where there is no check of systems weight.

Check to see that system files have not changed since last booting. Things like .ini files or .bat are important items.

Check for 'Hidden Directories' all over the disk...do this at the command prompt:

dir *.* /ah wil show these hidden directories

Check the 'dir' command for all parameters

whenever it pops up close the window w/ alt+f4, then go to windows task manager(ctrl+alt+del) and click on processes and look at the memory usage.. that should give away the suspicious image name that the virus runs on. after killing the process, search your computer for the name of the virus' executable file so you can see were that bi tch is hiding at. After you finish searching your comp and the files were it was hidden in, go to the registry editor (start->run->type:regedit). In the registry go to edit and then find(or ctrl+F) and type the name of the virus' files and it will show the location of the virus' executable files (its gonna be called: av.exe, cfmon, brastk, etc... they always have new names for them) delete their registry to disable the virus.

Also go again to start->run-> and type: msconfig to open the system configuration utility and click on startup there disable all the suspicious programs that start up w/out you knowing.

If you happen to screw up something in the registry (like delete the wrong files) just use "combofix" to restore corrupted files. Whatever you do, do not download any software to fix this virus... I'm pretty sure some1 is going to recommend some third party software to fix your pc but I wouldnt trust them.. besides I just gave you intstructions on how to clean the virus for free and in under 5 minutes.

Don't download software from the internet.. the guy above me mentioned malwarbyte.com or some shi t, but your letting some strange software invade your registry and computer... incase u havent noticed the whole reason the "antivirus vista" virus was invented for the puropose of getting you to buy or download another software to remove it... and most self help forums and websites to fix this are fake, theyre multi level marketing for these programs.

I could help you more, if you provided details of the viruses' file names.

Presumably you have Windows Vista, which is useful information when asking for advice. ;-) And if you can say what version of Vista, that's even better! :-)

Anyway, it looks like it needs a different approach to Security Tool which is why you aren't having success. You probably need the first set of instructions but I've included two:

This worked for me on an XP gadget: a million) Reboot the computer and start up living house windows in risk-free Mode With Networking. The pretend software isn't allowed to start in this mode, so which you haven't any longer have been given the pop-united statesor the monkeying with equipment settings (the pretend likes to do stuff like disable equipment fix and upload/do away with courses, as an occasion). 2) Do a equipment fix to a factor till now the gadget have been given contaminated. the faster you do it after the an infection, the greater useful. additionally, I easily have heard blended comments approximately utilising equipment fix to repair AntiVirus 2010, so i can't vouch for the outcomes. ultimately, if somebody factors a fix particularly for Vista and that they are particular it is going to artwork, via all ability take their notice over mine. good luck!
