how do i fix a dll error on my pc?

the error is shell32.dll
always when i turn on my computer there is a box that pops up
saying that an error occured
and then i just always press ok

For starters I would try to just re-register the library. Go Start -> Run and type "regsvr32 shell32.dll" (without the quotes) in the box and press Enter. Reboot and see if resolved. If that does not work then you would need to run a Windows repair using your install disk.
