I just got all viruses removed and windows reinstalled, 1 hard drive removed and my pc formatted.
I went on the internet and tried to download vlc media player, but then I read that the site isn't safe so I canceled the download and deleted the download link from my pc, but when I clicked on google chrome I went in babylon.com automatically. I downloaded malwarebytes anti-malware, and it detected 3 objects. I clicked to show the results, and saw 8 things. The anti-malware then placed 5 of them under quarantine. I did another scan and it didn't detect anything. So I removed everything that has to do with babylon.com using add or remove programs, and after the anti-malware placed the infected stuff under quarantine, I rebooted my pc, because it asked me to. Then I opened up google again, but it was still on babylon.com. Then I set Google as my home page, but it still opened at babylon.com, and it still does. Is my pc safe?

That babylon stuff is annoying. I'd uninstall the program... then go on the internet browser....... go to tools and look under options...........Then change the URL (Internet address) from Babylon.com to google.com or whatever you like............Also, under tools, click add-ons..........then it should show you the add-ons and toolbars on your browser..........delete or change as you wish...............I had issues with the babylon software and the brothersoft add-ons that made changes to my computer.

WORSE-CASE SCENARIO- find system restore on your computer...and find a restore point that was before you got babylon.com on your computer

If anything I'd recommend AVG Free (Anti-virus software) It works well...it's free...but they'll ask you to buy the premium. Just say no...and you'll be good to go.
