Just wondering if sited like Paypal, ebay and Amazon are safe from the heartbleed virus that I've been reading in the news at the moment ???

Heartbleed bug is a programming error that occurred on OpenSSL Encryption standards.
If any website is using openssl encryption method to secure transaction and sensitive information that they may affected by heartbleed.
Ebay and Paypal are not using OpenSSL encryption technology so they are safe.

Yes. They do not use the Open SSL encryption.
Only Servers that use Open SSL Encryption were open to the Heartbleed Virus.
There are other More Secure methods of encryption that top sites use.

what I could tell you is that Paypal is really safe from that virus because I use it and no problem occured.
