Hello , recently I started exploring and using programs like OpenSuse, freeBSD, centOS and OpenSolaris. I was wondering what security programs are available for these operating systems; I referring to firewalls and anti-viruses. Thank you very much.

There are oodles of good sites dedicated to unix security. I suggest you start googling.

I have never used an antivirus on a unix box. And in 20+ years of using unix, i have never had a virus

yet. I've heard it can happen, but you want to spend more time firewalling and patching a unix box than worrying about viruses.

that is style of a "short summarization" of police artwork, or a "short summarization" of the criminal gadget. in short, that is conserving the information on a Unix gadget out of the hands of people who don't have it. In long sufficient component to make sense ... I very own a short - 4 hundred internet site - text fabric that summarizes the better factors of Unix protection. It does not pass into them very deeply in that short a text fabric.
