Those are just a few of the messages I get, and it won't let me browse using Internet Explorer anymore. I have Windows Live for my security and virus protection, and I did a complete computer scan to remove anything harmful that might have been there. I still have 6 months left on my subscription, and the software is up-to-date. But the Vista Antispyware is still showing those messages and preventing me from accessing the internet. So I downloaded Mozilla Firefox from my brother's computer and installed it onto my computer, and it works just fine. But the threatening messages are still there! And I can't delete Internet Explorer from my computer. The Vista Antispyware wants me to buy into their subscription, but I don't want to because the Windows Live one is still working and covers 3 computers in my home at a better price.

What should I think or do? Is it true and maybe the Windows Live software can't detect it? It's really annoying because it pops up warning messages every few minutes and sometimes gives very convincing names of certain threats that is apparently trying to access my computer at that moment. The Vista Antispyware icon is sitting in the notification area, and I can't delete it. It's nowhere in the Control Panel, and I can't right click it. When I follow some of the prompts, it always lead me to a webpage to buy into its subscription, and I can't navigate anywhere in Internet Explorer. HELP!!!

The messages are totally false. DON'T buy the subscription, it's a trick. The program is Malware.

Take your hard disc out, put it in a friend's PC as a second hard disc (the virus won't infect them, it doesn't spread that way), and then boot into their copy of windows. This will let you manually delete Antispyware 2010

Delete all of these files from your disc using their PC

Then put your disc back in your PC and boot to your copy of windows

Open up your registry (Go to the run box and type regedit.exe)

Then reboot your PC. Everything should work after that. I've done this 4-5 time over the last few months when people that I know have had this problem, and it's worked every time for me.

Yes those notifications are real, but not in the sence you think. What's actually tracking your computer and doing all of those other things is Vista Antispyware 2010. It's a fake antivirus scanner (a rogue antivirus). To get rid of it, a virus scan must be done.

Ok well it seems you have internet since you've posted this question online so...

This is what I'd do if I were you.

Things you'll need:

A flashdrive or any other storage device capable of holding like 80mb or larger

A working computer

On your working computer, go to

http://downloads.kasperskyusa.com/files/?file=kav&lang=en

Now assuming this is Internet Explorer, click on save file, save in, removable disc E:\ or whatever the storage device is called.

Once completed, insert the removable storage device into your infected computer.

Open up the setup file for Kaspersky.

Note:

Kaspersky does not get along with any other antiviruses, so you will have to delete the one you're using right now. It is totally worth it though.

Once installed, go into the settings and make sure that the box for do not delete infected objects is unchecked.

Then do a full scan.

That should fix the problem, and any other virus problems you may have had.

First of all i have never heard anything of the name 'Vista anti-spyware 2010'. So that sparks a rogue anti-spyware solution. Very common name for an anti-spyware product.

Second of all windows live one care sucks. Get something like Kaspersky 2010 really strong firewall, exceptional virus and spyware detection, best internet security suit out there, i own and strongly prefer this computer security solution, since installing this software never had a virus or spyware intrusion.

Thirdly have you had any computer defiances before installing 'Vista anti-spyware 2010'?. If not I would straight away suspect it is a rogue anti-spyware.

Fourthly I have recently also have been attacked by one of these rogue anti-spyware dillemas, but through my really expertized computer skills, managed to remove it.

Fifthly what made you download this software? Was there like an error message on your computer where it said your computer has been attacked by spyware or viruses etc etc?. If it has then you have an rogue anti-spyware on your computer.

If left on the computer untreated for a long time, your computer could become a haven for hackers, gaining bank details, email passwords and almost everything that involves your personal information.

Please answer my above questions and I shall be very happy to help you if it is that your computer homes a rogue anti-spyware.

Thx P.S please pick my answer the best answer..thx

You have a virus on your computer called a "Rogue". It pretends to be an anti virus program to get you to pay it money. You can get it from a previous viral infection, opening a bad email, or just by surfing the web without proper Windows patches on your computer. Do not pay them any money!

I have linked some steps to remove Vista Antispyware that are hosted at BleepingComputer:

http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/virus-removal/remove-antivirus-vista-2010

The instructions are pretty straightforward, but if you don't feel comfortable following them, perhaps you have a friend or coworker who can help walk you through them?

The removal tool that they have you use is a free virus removal tool called Malwarebytes Anti-Malware. It works great for catching troublesome infections, and it does not take long to download. It should catch this infection without any trouble. As the directions state, you will need to save it to a removable drive or CD on another computer if you cannot download it on your infected machine.

Malwarebytes can be found here:

http://www.malwarebytes.org/

Once everything is clean, make sure that your Windows is up to date, and that your actual antivirus has current virus definitions. You may truly want to switch to a superior antivirus, such as Kaspersky or AVG.

Try a different browser eg Firefox

Also try this, go to IE > tools > internet options > connections > lan settings > UNTICK the ' use proxy server ' box

And go to C\windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts open the host file, when asked what program to use, choose notepad. The ONLY entry you want is local host 127.0.0.1

If there are other entries delete them, then click file and save

These warnings are fake. The rogue program tries to scare you and make you think that your computer is infected. See removal guide: http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/virus-removal/remove-antivirus-vista-2010

this actual virus is slightly nastier on account which you will no longer be able to certainly uninstall it, the uninstall function is disabled and you will be able to't even end the technique, the minute you do it in basic terms restarts itself on your next keystroke. attempt Malwarebyte (in basic terms google it) that is a unfastened get carry of which will seek for, discover and delete the offending documents for you. On restarting you ought to discover that the virus has been bumped off, yet mine took a pair of tries because of the fact the virus duplicated itself. good success
