Hello everyone, I have been having troubles with my computer lately. I have a WinPC antivirus program, always showing me that my computer is at risk, scans, etc. pretty much I have a virus. I looked up in the Internet on what to do, and when they told me to download Malwarebytes anti-malware, which I did, it should have got rid of the virus. However, I can't open it! Every time I click on it, nothing happens. I have F-secure, and when I tell it to do a computer scan, it detects nothing, but when I click on quick spyware scan, it detects 11 things that it can't remove or quarantine. I tried spyware doctor and it told me how many infected files I have, but it won't remove them since I need to register and pay for it
Please help, it's been bugging me for the last week or so!

Malwarebytes should get rid of your pest but the Trojan might have disabled it from running.

All is not lost however as i learned a trick that sometimes works.

With Malwarebytes installed restart your computer in safe mode with networking. (Tapping the F8 key within the first few seconds of starting your computer should bring you to a menu where you choose safe mode with networking)

Once it boots into a default screen open Malwarebytes and try to update it. When and if it does update you will have to go to my computer, C: drive, program files, and open the Malwarebytes folder. If it won't update forget it for now.

Look for the mbam file and double click on it and rename it to anything you wish. (I use Blah)

Close the program files and try to run a quick scan with Malwarebytes again.

Remove anything it finds.

If it works return to the Malwarebytes folder and rename it back to mbam.

Restart your computer in normal mode and update Malwarebyted and run another quick scan. You should be free of your infection.

Win PC Antivirus (WinPC Antivirus) is the first malware that we have detected to emanate from Win PC Defender. In addition, the downloading links on Win PC Defender are either redirected to Win PC Antivirus links or simply give Win PC Antivirus instead of Win PC Defender. You need to remove Win PC Antivirus and Win PC Defender in order to get rid of the alerts and bothering scans of the malware. However, the ads by the malware are not the maim reason to get rid of Win PC Antivirus. We need to note the tactic of Win PC Antivirus to slow computer down and disorder OS and legitimate programs. The tactic is aimed on frightening users into buying the malware, but poses a real challenge to your system and data safety. It is quite easy to identify the infection of Win PC Antivirus, but the removal of Win PC Antivirus may be rather complicated. Win PC Antivirus generates scan window and numerous alerts entitled Win PC Antivirus and leading to the online purchase form of the malware. Removing Win PC Antivirus requires detecting all its hidden and corresponding Registry entries.
