McAfee has a version for OS X.
I would make sure whatever you get that it's a complete suite (antivirus, firewall, antispyware, etc) and that is is properly configured, up to date, and setup to automatically update.
As things stand now, you are fairly secure against "most" malware.. however you still need to be vigilant with firewall security and with security patches for your operating system and the programs you run on it (for instance the known Skype malware running around macs).
I would also suggest you take a bit of time to learn a little bit about unix since the subsystem is unix / bsd / darwin
