How can you be totally, 100% anonymous on the net? (or as close to it as possible)?

I know Tor provides some anonymity, and you can also set up Java to use Tor, but what about Javascript? I don't want to have to disable it completely, but don't want it to reveal information about my computer. Most sites use Javascript nowadays.
Also what about DNS? Does Privoxy take care of that?
Are there any other things that may leak information?

I agree, the only way to stay 100% or EVEN CLOSE TO THAT is to stay away, and no-longer use the internet.
Otherwise, you really can't disable stuff like your IP adress

Tor is not anonymous. I proved that the other day ;).
Proxies do not handle DNS unless it is an internal network setup.
Javascript, Flash, and any other embedded content can get around Tor's tunnel.
The only way to be anonymous is to spoof your MAC address, access someone else's wireless AP, and then never sign into any online account while you are on.
Honestly, there is no reason to be "anonymous." Nobody cares, you are simply not important enough to spy on, and if you became important enough, it would be trivial to get around anything you could put in place.

I doubt if that is possible anymore. Several years ago a law was passed to prevent that from happening. The reason was stupid trolls were stalking people online and a few people ended up dead by being shot by their own online stalkers. I had a stalker back in the mid 90's who was an ex con from Pheonix who served time on a illegal annabolic steroid drug charge. This moron used anonymous emailers to stalk me and I reported him to authorities. He was eventually placed under arrest, had his computer confiscated and put back on probation. He still continued to stalk me until the judge upped the antie and put him under house arrest so he could not leave his home except for work. He was an unemployed musician at the time. Nobody would even hire him because of his prison record. HAHAHAHA
Good luck

no longer in the united kingdom the place anti-funds laundering regulations make it unlawful for a economic corporation to open an account without exams, which comprise evidence of who you're. It was obtainable to have an Oyster pre-charge card and shipment it with funds without registering your information yet i don't understand if that keeps to be real. in spite of everything, there are quite few how you need to use an Oyster card (used specially for return and forth tickets in London).

The only way to stay 100% anonymous is to never use it.
Otherwise, you would have to use public terminals. Even your IP Address is recorded for everything you do.
