Download Windows password unlocker from http://www.passwordunlocker.com/products/wpu.html. Note that there is an .ISO image file included in Windows Password Unlcocker . Burn the .ISO image file to a blank CD by your favorite burner software such as Nero, Sonic, or Roxio. If you don't have those burners, you can use BurnCDCC.exe integrated in Windows Password Unlocker as well. With the new created password reset disk. You can reset windows vista password with great ease

I think I am operating under the same. Completely shutdown and boot up. Before your password thing comes up-push F12 until it comes to screen that asks if you want to change your settings. There you should be able to go online with dell and they will help identify and change our password. Oops F8

Boot up in Safe Mode by pressing [F8] and then go to Control Panel and change the password of your account.
