AVG 8.0 warnings?

Every time i run a scan (once a day), i get around 450 warnings, most being Adwares or Hijackers. I always remove any unhealed treats to virus vault. The virus vault is always having to be empted to make room.

Why are there so many treats? and why do they keep coming back?

Do you know the song of Celine Dion? Its all coming back to me now? Its just the same with those spywares and adwares because they are still there in your registry. AVG 8.0 scans and placed it on the virus vault and you remove them from being healed so it keeps on turning back. Well, lets see if you can block those annoying adwares. If you're using IE go to tools and click Internet options, then click privacy, then advanced, Tick the box block third party cookies. Click OK .

AVG has many problems. Up until V7.5 I alsways used it, recommended it to others and installed it on many other machines. V8 came bundled with a host of problems for many users:

I have now switched to Avast, smaller file size, greater control, anti-spyware and anti-rootkit included, all at no cost, whereas AVG used to have them as separate programs, bundled them into V8 but only in the paid for version.

Stop visiting chinese, porn, crack and serial sites and stop downloading crap from them.



AVG doesn't always find 'em all.

So you might have a Backdoor-Trojan in your comp that's letting all the viruses safely in.



Some AVs are soo stupid (like AVG), that claim everything to be a virus.



Ad-Awares (Ads) are mostly saved webpage contents what are saved for fast browsing, that are harmless.



Get yourself CCleaner, and run it after end of the day

or just configure your browser to erase all cached data on exit.

AVG 8 is over sensitive and tries to do too much.

Either instruct it to ignore threats that continually re appear or switch to Avast or some other freebie

go to filehippo .com or download.com and get some spyware and reg clean free prog , superspyware is superb and free , so is ccleaner , and advanced windows care personal , they all free and if you run them daily takes about 10 min to run them all your pc should run like a dream , good luck its not always virus's but spyware u need to be rid of he advanced windows care is brill at correcting any probs cclean gs rid of crap and supespware allt he spys good luck chuck :-)

I don't know. I use AVG and hardly get any warnings.You must be visiting a lot of dodgy websites!
