My cousin stole and sold my computer a few years ago, so I've been backing up everything on my new one. I was hoping to use something like SkyDrive so I could just keep all my documents in there without having to constantly back them up, but I've just found out that you can delete stuff directly from the SkyDrive folder on your computer and it deletes what's online as well. Is there any way I can lock it or something when I'm not using my computer so I can keep the online stuff safe?

Try LockmyDrive online storage service.

If I were you, I would immediately open a (free) A-drive account ( http://www.adrive.com/ ) and copy all my SkyDrive files there. And then I would delete all the files from SkyDrive. Lastly, I would change the SkyDrive password. Good luck.

Don't use the Sky drive pc app just user the online browser version and don't save your logon details therefore no one will eve know you use skydrive.
