Hi, i have norton internet security and i need to get rid of CiD pop-up ads that started appearing after i downloaded "MSN Messenger Plus"!

*mumble* to heck with you, msn *mumble*

Anyway i got superAntiSpyware but it didnt work. I went to "add/remove programs" and have removed everything except for "windows live messenger (original) and "Windows live home" and selected to "delete sponsor" but they still came (with slightly less intensity). I searched my computer for any windows live plus remaining. none. Deleting Windows home/messenger is an option, if needed. I even did a restore computer thing were i went one day before the download. didnt work.

I have running now: comcast desktop doctor, google pop-up blocker, internet explorer pop-up blocker, and Norton security.

please tell me how to delete these crappy pop-up ads (CiD) with norton, if possible, and any other things i might have missed. I could re-download super anti spywere if I REALLY missed something, but it brings my computer to a crawl.

PLEASE! Someone just help me. Im lossing my mind here!
God bless you all.

This is difficult to stop on your own. You should go to a site as bleepingcomputer.com or castlecops.com and look up the proceedure to post a HiJackThis log. have them help yu with the log. HJT s a powerful tool and removing the wring thing could be a big problem.

There are a minimum of three different infections that reason those phony undercover agent ware classified ads. All have different treatments. Does it in line with threat promote "Raze Antispyware"? Are they finished pop-united statesor a small balloon popping out of your from down by potential of the clock? Do the popups say "Messenger service" any the place on the call bar? what's the product that's attempting to sell you? Please edit your question with extra suggestion.
