I know that if the sites are blocked that I obviously should not be trying to access the sites. However, at the same time I am bored to death in school and need a proxy to access my myspace. Does anyone know of any new ones. By the way, HTTPS proxies are pretty much the only ones that work at my school. Thanks.

Circumventing Internet access control systems with web proxies to access unauthorized web sites is a violation of school computer usage policy. You will get suspended and/or banned from using school computers when you get caught. Use school computers for school work, and myspace can wait until you get home. Do you really want your teachers and school administrators knowing what you are posting on myspace anyways?

The best solution is to use a proxy thats

1. under one week old,

2. not listed on any public proxy lists and

3. doesn't have taboo words in it's name like "proxy", "filter" "unblock", etc.

There's a very good chance that it's not blocked.

A great service that meets these criteria is http://webfreed.com They post private (hidden) proxies that are under 1 week old. WebFreed also offers proxy list by rss feed so you can have access to the proxies even if their site gets blocked (through public feed readers).

My work blocks everything (I'm working in a financial institution so the rules are strict in here) and, yet, I have been able to use their service without problems.

Circumventing Internet access control systems with web proxies to access unauthorized web sites is a violation of comapny computer usage policy. You will get fired from your job when you get caught. Use company computers for work, and myspace can wait until you get home. Do you really want your bosses and company IT administrators knowing what you are posting on myspace anyways?

Are we to assume your are carrying a 4.0 average and don't need to study? School computers, paid for by the taxpayers, many of which don't have kids in school, are for SCHOOL work, not surfing Myspace or Facebook. Go ahead and use a proxy to get around your network security. When you get caught, be sure to tell Mom & Dad why you got expelled..............
