I continue to see people asking for help with viruses, worms, trojans, spyware on this forum. The answer is pretty clear, MOST of the time people are NOT running an Anti-Virus/Anti-Spyware/Anti-Malware product "Resident" on their Machine. Sometimes people DO have an AV product installed but the "Nasty" gets to it and disables it. Thats neither here nor there. You need help, here it is.

FIRST. Download Malwarebytes Anti-Malware here and once downloaded, try to install it and UPDATE IT via the UPdate Tab. If you cannot install it due to the nature of the virus/malware you have.. boot into safe mode (See Below) install it, reboot and then UPDATE It. Reboot BACK into safe Mode and run the program.

Sounds like a big PIA doesnt it? Well, it is. You can TRY to get out the Malware in Normal mode but many viruses will not come out and you'll be forced to reboot again anyway. Just go into safe mode and be done with it, its almost completely assured you'll get rid of it that way.

Now if for some reason Malware Bytes does NOT get rid of your particular version of "Nasty" then go to the link below and get DRWEBCUREIT file. Its a self contained (non-resident) file that does NOT install but only RUNS on your system to get rid of Viruses & bad things. You will have to reboot back out of SafeMode into Normal to download it.

There is very little that these two cannot dislodge from your system. Run them ONE at a time and take your time. Do NOT rush through things, its going to take some time...

Dr Web Cureit Download

Here are Two programs that you can install, if you dont have one that will help in the future.

Avast (installs)

SpyBot S&D (installs)

How to get into SAFE MODE:

To boot into safe mode reboot your PC.. put your finger on the F8 key.. as soon as your PC's screen Logo or Post goes away start pressing the F8. If you see the Windows XP/Vista Logo you waited too long, power down and start over, press F8 again a little sooner. If you are sucessful a black screen with some selections will appear. Select SAFE MODE,... NOT SAFE MODE with Networking!

Good Luck!

Did this just occur out of nowhere on your computer? Your description sounds like a fake anti-malware site is falsely reporting detecting malware when there is no malware.

These sites are run by criminals hoping you will fall for their tricks. Many times there is no infection, but they have a JavaScript program running that creates all the images you see.

Try this, shut down your computer, disconnect from the Internet, and reboot. If you don't see any "warnings" then connect again to the Internet and start Internet Explorer. If you don't see any "warnings" then it is possible you don't have an infection.

You can get a free anti-malware program from Microsoft called Microsoft Security Essentials.

How are you finding these viruses if you don't already have an anti-spyware software? If you are using those online ones, they are a scam. You should go to a store and get a respected anti-virus software. Microsoft support all of them, or rather, there is no restrictions on what programs you can run so in theory all programs are supported.

It would probably be best to go with malware bytes or spydoctor

Probably all of them, given that it's Microsoft's fault that this stuff exists.

Just what is finding them ?
