Hello,
When i try to start up my windows after the blue screen "welcom to win xp" this msg pop up saying
" Explorer.exe - Unable to locate component
This application Failed to start because iertutil.dll was not found. Re-installing this may fix the problem. "

then when i click ok ,normally coz of the lost explorer.exe i get my wallpaper screen only ,no desktop items no icons no startup toolbar nothinggg...even right click doeasnt work.

when i click on Alt-crl-del to find the task manager it does come , i tried to type regedit n so on but whenever i do this a mesage like the previous one comes saying almost the same but it says
"taskmgr.exe Unable to locate component
This application Failed to start because Normaliz.dll was not found. Re-installing this may fix the problem. "
though continuing the typo "regedit" it comes normally
so i find the problem in that Normaliz.dll

What shall i dooo now plz i can't start my windows wishing not to re install windows..coz i cant do this , i downloading that file what can u tell me in steps what should i do plz

When you open the task manager, try typing in "explorer" instead of "regedit". You will probably get the same error "Unable to locate component", but it's worth a try. If that doesn't work, try typing in "iexplore" to start Internet Explorer. If it starts, go to http://www.dlldump.com/download-dll-files_new.php/dllfiles/I/iertutil.dll/7.0.5450.4/download.html and download iertutil.dll into C:\Windows\System32. Restart your computer. Hope this helps.

Edit: After doing a little searching around, I doubt that you will be able to start Internet Explorer since it is dependent on iertutil.dll. Here is an article that I found that has a fix but you will need a second computer and some type of media to store the dll on, like a CD or a USB flash drive: http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/592125/fix_windows_and_internet_explorer_missing.html

All you do is go into windows explorer, click on the dll file and right click and choose copy. Then paste a copy of the file into the C:\windows\system32 directory. The dll file needs to reside also, in the same directory as the .EXE file for the software. Since you don't know how the main program was encoded, you don't know for sure what sub-directory it may be calling the dll. If there are sub-directories, copy to each sub-directory the dll file and that should fix the problem. Having mutliple copies of the dll file on a computer does NOT hurt it.
