how long will it take to download 2261 MB file on dialup? why is it taking such a long time?

I am upgrading my operating system from vista to windows 7 home premium. I am upgrading by microsoft's online download. It is 2261 MB file. It has been 45 minutes and the download has still not finished. How much longer? My ISP cuts off connection after 2 hours and i have to reconnect then. If connection is cut off, i have to download from start. Please let me know if it will finish within the next hour or so

i am sorry man but your internet is too slow. You should give your company a call to see if you can upgrade your plan. It wont cost you a single cent. Where as for your current internet it is probaly going to take at least a day because dialup is normally 36kb a second and there is 1056kb in a mb so its going to take a while

Dial up is Hell and you'll be eternity making that DL.

Unless you've got a "download manager" that can prevent it, and a "packet" is dropped somewhere along the transmission, the entire DL might not work (incorrect checksum).

Get an alternative method.
