let's say my laptop became a victim of webcam hacking, now what can i do?
is there a way to stop such activities once it has entered our computer?
i'm using microsoft security essetials as my real-time antivirus software and superantispyware and malwarebytes.
will the three of it be enough to detect and stop the webcam hacking and if they did not find anything, can we already conclude that I am safe already from webcam hacking?
also, is it also true that webcam hacking seriously requires 40kb/s of internet bandwidth to transmit data so my laptop should be lacking a 40kb/s of internet bandwidth if my webcam is hacked?
and if my laptop don't, then i could already say that i am not webcam hacked?
this really worries me.
by the way, I am suspecting a webcam hacking activity that I got when i accidentally clicked on a link in an email?
is this possible?
is there powerful enough webcam hacking activity that can be obtained just by clicking a link in an email?
if so, how can i stop it now?
if i shut down my laptop, will it be enough to stop the "session" going on?
(by the way, i would like to refer to session as the communication and transmission required by the webcam hacking)
will it persist after i turn on again my laptop?
what if i turn off this time the one that provides the internet, my internet provider or the internet router?
can i stop then the webcam hacking activities going on now?

Hackers will code their programs with specific "patterns" to say, so that antivirus wares will not pick it up. They will encrypt their applications so the antivirus wares have a hard time detecting the malicious coding embedded. If you suspect you've been a victim of such activities, I suggest reformatting your computer. The "session" will continue whenever the hacker feels like it. It can be gone for weeks or months but appear again. For best results, complete reliance and safety, it's a good idea to reformat.

It's very possible to be infected through a e-mail link, I've done it before.

the advice about changing passwords very good though you need remove malware first or pointless! Also the latest spyware such as ardamax? walks through av as if not there and is invisible, when run mbam or av? On the program is stealth mode- when scan activates? shuts down, is very good at its job grrr. i have tested various methods in attack and prevention and the best i found though some may argue dif is http://www.zemana.com/ which has a full 15 full working trial it does not scan just waits and the quickest way to draw it out? open messenger and open webcam as the spyware needs do its job:) zemana will remove it as normally has a password lock though nps i suggest then after run mbam and re-boot, the part about bandwidth? check ardamax out the stats are excellent for a tiny file attached to a link or pic etc activated remotely and even able to set a date etc for self destruct... many like this are made by other arms of security not bad eh? get paid to attack then to defend wot a lovely net we live in lol

If you shut down your laptop, or disconnect your Internet, of course any hacker using your webcam will be disconnected. If you start up and reconnect later, it's unpredictable whether the hacker would reconnect.

Anyway, it's easy to prevent them from reconnecting without messing with software - just cover up the camera lens (and also put some tape over the microphone hole).

Most software that hacks into webcams can be detected and removed by up-to-date anti-virus/anti malware software.

First, get rid of parties altogether. That's why this nation is so divided. Next, eliminate the IRS and make everybody pay a flat cost for his or her share of taxes. Then make all of the politicians take a lie detector scan previous to their candidacy. Also we need to make their youngsters serve a four year term within the military a obligatory condition of a "public servant". In the end, we must focus more on our possess nation and our own citizens and stop being the world police.
