This message keeps popping up: "The internet site you are about to view uses a certificate that has expired or is not yet valid. Do you wish to proceed?" I close it and it comes right back. This happens repeatedly even though I do not have a web browser open. I always use ZoneAlarm and just ran scans with ZoneAlarm, Spybot S&D and AdAware and it's still doing it. How do I fix this? Thanks!

it's a certificate for a website that's been outdated so you got a warning. why it's popping up is another issue.

right click taskbar, taskmanger then onto the proccess tab. click user name till your user account is lined up.

then look for all CAPITOL letter's of EXPLORER.EXE or the certificate itself and click it to highlight it, then click end proccess tab. that will do away with it

when i open mine and i click users,

mine say's hp_owner yours will be owner or a name depending on how your logged in.

Step #5 sounds like how to toggle the settings

Verifying Information Bar Settings Are Applied

To verify Information Bar settings are applied

1.

From the Windows XP desktop, click Start and then click Control Panel.

2.

Under Pick a category, click SecurityCenter.

3.

Under Manage security settings for, click Internet Options.

4.

Click the Privacy tab.

5.

In the Pop-up Blocker area, click Settings and verify that the desired configuration for the Information Bar in the Notifications and Filter Level area is applied.

6.

Click Close and then click the Security tab.

7.

Ensure that the Internet zone is selected and then click Custom Level.

8.

Verify that the desired configuration for the Information Bar settings is applied and then click OK.

9.

Click OK to close Internet Properties then close WindowsSecurityCenter.

depends on what site these warnings are coming from, click on certificate it should show date its valid.

if its only on certain or a few sites than i would use www.siteadvisor.com

see whats reported there on the sites you get it on

Hmm... Something is running and trying to access a website, which is giving you the error. I would try an Anti-Virus scan too. You can download AVG-Free and see if it can find anything.
