I keep getting rejected from sign-ups because of the abusers of anonymous e-mail adresses. And even my university e-mail address seems to get discriminated against.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get an account that isn't going to continually run into this problem, especially if I can get something ending in .gov or .mil. would solve a lot of problems.

There is an option that you may want to choose, but it will cost you a little bit.

The PERSONAL ADDRESS

this kinda sounded to me that is what you wanted so that is why I suggested it.

Personal Address

only $35/year

less than $3/month!

ACCORDING TO THEIR DESCRIPTION:

Mail that's made just for you.

Get "you@your-name.com"

Five email addresses

Message size up to 10MB

if you need something more:

Business Mail $9.95/month.

Today's customers expect the professional touch. With this email solution especially designed for small businesses, you get your own domain (e.g., you@your-company.com) with ten email accounts, unlimited storage space, POP access, no third-party ads, and more.

You can choose what you want with the PERSONAL ADDRESS

and it is worth it, knowing you have what you want.

The only way I think you can get a .gov is if you are either in-listed, or work for the government.

I agree I think you should contact you ISP, they should be the ones to tell you. I honestly have no clue.

Then again I am not electronically inclined. I wish I could be more help.

Honestly I am lucky that I know how to turn on the computer, get on line, and type. Honestly most of the time I have no idea what the heck I am doing, I am just winging it. LOL

When I signed up for my ISP I got three free email addresses from them. Because I have a pretty common name, I had to be a little creative, but I did finally get one that I can use for work purposes without sounding like a twit.

The ISP associated email addresses seem to be accepted because you have to have a 'home address' to get an ISP account, so the idea is that it's more legitimate.

Contacting your ISP is a good place to start!

Four possible solutions that occur to me, offhand:

(1) Sign up for an ISP service (earthlink.net, comcast.net, att.com, or like that.) You'll have a non-anonymous paid-for email address: yerself@oneofthese.xxx

(2) Buy a domain name (cheap: $5-$8 per year). You'll have your very own sweet email address: yerself@yerdomain.com

(3) Find a free source of (1) or (2)

(4) Find a friend who has (1) or (2). (Keep that friend!)

With any of these, you could even then forward the email to your "anonymous" email address. Problem fixed.

(You may find that having several email addresses is actually quite handy. I have 5.)

Anonymous and disposable emails are not considered valid by most admin

Many validate manually now so they'll personally see it

You can telnet into the email server of the person you want to send email to. Once you are in just create the message and make the sender email address with the same domain as the sendee.
