I downloaded FL Studio 8 Demo version from online and it had a crack code included. I put the crack folder in with the demo version and I now have the full edition. I then disconnected from the internet and ran my Norton anti-virus. It detected a Trojan horse and I deleted it. I then ran a full scan two more times and it said that nothing was found. Does that mean that it removed the Trojan from FL Studio files? I still have the full working version of FL Studio and I even ran an individual scan on it and it tells me that it is not infected. So if you know, please tell me if I am in the clear or could there still be a problem? I will never download anything like this again. This is a brand new laptop and I would hate to mess it up.

I'm assuming you got this via torrent? Well most crack files (if you indeed use a crack file) are detected as malicious files by antivirus software because it usually modifies the internal state of a program, which can be considered dangerous.

After your antivirus deleted the (crack) file, it should be gone. That means it won't be detected as a trojan, but you also can't use that crack file again (if you ever need to).

Now I don't know if the creator of the crack had good intentions or not, but if he did, then all the crack did was, well, crack the FL Studio program. If he had bad intentions, there's a possibility that there still might be a virus lurking around on your hard drive somewhere. Just make sure you have your antivirus run in realtime to make sure that no malicious actions can take place without your notice.

Disclaimer: using 'crack' files of any kind are illegal.

It's probably gone but you never know for sure I guess. If you haven't used the laptop much yet you could return it to its default settings with the recovery disc perhaps, you'd lose any customization you did or files you downloaded but you'll be sure there's no virus.

And consider buying FL Studio, it's so worth it. Here's a link for 10% discount on any purchase of $90 or more from the image-line online shop: https://support.image-line.com/jshop/shop.php?offer=Default&promo=BACJBAB469

in safe mode F8 run malwarebytes anti-malware and SUPERAntispyware, and what they find you

delete it manually. then run ccleaner to clean your pc, and mvregclean, to clean registry.

what mvregclean find you remove because the key is there but not the file ,folder or program.

even you reformat and it finds anything remove dont be afraid.

dont forget when you install this software to update them, and do an update every day

then restore until before you get infected.

You need to kill the process and the dll files attached to the trojan. You need to edit the msconfig and registry to stop it from loading startup. Here is a good tutorial:
