I think I may have a virus (please read)?
Last night I noticed that whenever I google something (on firefox 4) I click on a link and a website called 'fast search' shows up.
It also comes up with a blank page and says 'redirecting' at the top.
The only websites working for me are face book, youtube and yahoo, if I want to visit another website I have to keep clicking the link until the website works properly (with no redirections).
I have McAfee security and did a full scan which took over four hours, and nothing was found.
My laptop is also slower all of a sudden.
What do I do?
I just know that its a virus!
Thank you for any answers in advance :)

Go to windows>control panel>programs

See if the "fast search" program is there. If it is then unisntall it.

If that doesn't work then open up Mozilla and there should be a "fast search" box sometiere near the URL at the top of the window. Click Guat. And ser id you can airĂ³ around it or remove it. If not then open preferences or settings and try to find it.

Hope i helped

My advice would be to download and run Malware-bytes free edition

Its pretty comprehensive and is really good at finding Malware programs

something is wrong with mcAfee sometimes,

it can also slow down your laptop,

but your case sounds a lot like a VIRUS,

and i also think it is,

if you scanned your laptop and it say's there isn't any suspicious viruses,

but you still think there is,

try reformatting it,

It's happening because your computer is infected.

remove the infection and it will stop.

Try running this to find the infection.

download then run,Hitman pro : http://www.surfright.nl/en

after you have done that,

then scan with this to find any further infections.
