since spywareguard 2008 blocks antispyware programs, manual removal is your only option. well, you can also format hard drive and re-install windows but this option should be your last one.

here's manual removal of spyware guard 2008: http://www.spywarevoid.com/remove-spyware-guard-2008-spywareguard-2008-removal.html

OK, if you can't get online on the infected machine you'll need to download some tools on another computer and transfer the .exe files to a pen drive or cdr.

Info and removal instructions are here - http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/malware-removal/remove-spyware-guard-2008

On top of the malwarebytes anti-malware you will be asked to download I'd recommend doing the following too -

Ensure your anti-virus is up to date, if you don't have one I can recommend Avast Home Edition for free http://www.avast.com/eng/avast_4_home.html or NOD32 if you don't mind paying http://www.eset.com/

Some software that I'd recommend you running weekly are:-

malwarebytes anti-malware http://www.malwarebytes.org/mbam.php

SUPERantispyware http://www.superantispyware.com/download.html

Spybot Search and Destroy http://www.safer-networking.org/index2.html

Select the free versions if applicable.

I'd also recommend you run ccleaner http://ccleaner.com every day to clear your "crap" It has 2 scans, cleaner and registry, remove or fix all that it finds but repeat the registry one until nothing is detected.

After a malware attack and clean It's always a good idea to switch off System Restore, reboot, switch it back on, create a new restore point then reboot again.

Hope this helps.

NB: Please ensure that you always check for updates before running anti-malware tools.

If you find that you are unable to run the malwarebytes tool, rename the mbam-setup.exe file to something random like 4187gsjd.exe and try again.
