I leave my firewall on all of the time. It keeps my pc hidden from attacks.

I surf the net with the Firewall on and its a must. Firewall's are effective in resisting attacks and stopping malicious activites. Each program has to ask for internet access and I can stop any program from accessing the net, which otherwise may be givin out my details even if it doesnt harm my system. Some Anti-virus programs come integrated with a firewall and would prove quite handy. Even though our ISP does provide some amount of safety its recommended that we have our own measures to ensure safe browsing or end up messing that Windows OS.

slow a little is better than facing with so many virus out there. if u off firewall, it is very easy to get attack by virus that is active on internet. firewall plus antivirus is a must for user frequently browse unknown website...

With to prevent hacking, but some applications need to have it shut off in order to work - games, music players etc.
