Site Hound.

I have used both SiteAdvisor and Sitehound and have reported sites that attempt a "drive-by" download of some sort of malware to both of them. While SiteAdvisor can take weeks to add the malicious site, SiteHound usually has it added on the very next daily update.

They do have a free version.

Also, If you are using Internet Explorer, you can use IE-SPYAD as a preventative measure to restrict the 'Bad" actions of bout 30,000 sites.

"IE-SPYAD adds a long list of sites and domains associated with known advertisers, marketers, and crapware pushers to the Restricted sites zone of Internet Explorer. Once you merge this list of sites and domains into the Registry, the web sites for these companies will not be able to use cookies, ActiveX controls, Java applets, or scripting to compromise your privacy or your PC while you surf the Net. Nor will they be able to use your browser to push unwanted pop-ups, cookies, or auto-installing programs on your PC."

There are plenty of alternatives - these antiphishing tools depend on databases so it's hard to determine if one is better than another since at some point value judgments need to be made about the potential danger a site poses.

despite in case you are able to't uninstall it completely, (by ability of utilising upload/get rid of classes on top of issues panel in XP OR classes and good factors in Vista) you are able to avert it to run whilst ur computing gadget activates! only open the RUN command from the initiating menu. then type MSCONFIG after than pass to the STARTUP tab and uncheck any application you do not wanna run whilst living house windows starts off!

I wouldn't use programs like this. They slow down the rate you display web pages, and often their alerts are over sensetive. Internet explorer has a phishing filter, and any reasonable Anti-virus program will let you scan a file before openening it.
