Question:
How sophisticated has Spyware gotten? Is it possible I'm being spied on?

How sophisticated has spyware become here recently?

Lately, the feeling has crept on me more and more that my Internet activity is being closely tracked. It may sound bizarre, but I have reason to believe that someone in the public eye (he's high-profile - many of you would recognize his name if I said it) is spying on my online activity.

Why do I suspect this? Well, for one - I noticed that a couple of his relatives suddenly made their Facebook pages more "private" after I browsed on them. This made me think at first that there is some 3rd party app that allows one to view who has visited their Facebook page - but from what I've seen, this is not the case. So could it be that someone who would be in a position to notify these relatives that I was on their Facebook pages has implanted some type of spyware onto my computer?

And this isn't the only thing that has caused me to wonder - there have been certain other "coincidences" here lately that have "spooked" me a bit.

So how possible is it that I'm being spied on - either directly or indirectly - by this certain "famous" person?

And would it be possible that I could isolate the particular spyware application(s) that are implanted onto my computer and trace it back to him? Do I have the resources to do so?

YES, THERE ARE MANY third party apps that will track people who visit your pages, and most likely the person you refer to has them !!! You cannot remove them, because they are not on your computer ! This usually resides on the person's personal computer, and they would have the "keep me logged in" option set, so that the program wouldn't be reset by the server being updated locally(facebook-side). No, this would not be anyone from facebook spying on you, probably just "Page hit counters"...

To be on the safe side, use this detection and removal utility, available free...

"http://www.malwarebytes.org/". Run the quick scan after you install it and it updates itself. If it finds anything, and the odds are good it will find much, do the full scan after that. It takes much longer, but will find things others don't seem to ! THIS IS NOT AN ANTIVIRUS -------IT IS FOR DETECTION AND REMOVAL OF MALWARES ONLY !!!!

you can do many things, if they are they are doing so through spyware, im gonna go ahead and say they don't have access to the main user database and no way of detecting an intrusion, also the website will not detect an intrusion. you are not going to gain root access to their python web server, ssl encryption nor intercept any traffic over its secure port, not going to happen..

write a script, learn it and use holes, so it's definitely necessary to break out Emacs and modify that pearl script. not going to have to deal with user name/password combo, which has some security but nothing crazy... crazy being data center maintained, while a active program running that has a pop up window to appear simultaneously to all first responders, NOC techs like to take their job seriously, a simple server detection intrusion is exciting since it does not happen often..

provided no help whatsoever! anyways.. also scripts.. some issues that can arise when it is not a security related issue but a annoyance, when in the coding that limits the number of results to 20 a page then running through some weird phP script and it is just weird..

forget that part about how you can do many things, you can but i failed to list anything,, ok.

Well what spyware does is it goes on your computer takes very private information and takes it on the internet which could lead to many problems with your computer and your self.

Yes, I am spying on you. How did you know?
