I've been battling this problem for a few hours now. I keep getting error 10 message :err_access_denied when I try to open any web page. I am only getting it on one of my laptops and it is the new one( THe old one works fine). I have McAfee on this laptop, I seem to be able to browse the web when I switch off the Firewall, but every time I switch it back on Error message comes up. So, What should I do? I do not want to leave the laptop unprotected .PLEASE help ...

First of all, Uninstall McAfee .. then you will be able to access any website you want. And concerning the anti-virus, Go to the following website to download Norton Internet Security 2011.

http://www.symantec.com/

This is the official website of Norton.

Norton Internet Security 2011 will never leave your computer unprotected. Try it for a period of 30 days. And also it will run your computer smoothly.

If you don't like shareware .. then I recommend you to download any Free Anti-Virus like AVG, Avast, Avira AntiVir, PCTools etc ...

Try lowering the protection level. It is probably on the highest level. Take it back one step or put the settings on normal.

Don't listen to the other guys. McAfee is just fine for anyone who isn't considered a high risk user (browses porn and downloads all kinds of junk).

Get Zone Alarm firewall - it is free from here www.zonelabs.com

Uninstall McAfee before installing Zone Alarm
