I have been having problems with my computer for a few weeks now. My AVG stopped working and when I have tried to run my spybot search and destroy it wont come up. I know there is high adware/spyware/trojans and viruses on my computer. Everytime I try to search or go to a site it redirects me to something else. I downloaded spydoctor and it said I needed to register and pay to use the tool...Does anyone know somewhere I can have these things safely taken off my computer for free? PLEASE HELP! I have even tried doing a complete system restore and thats not working.

There is a free fully working version of spyware doctor at http://pack.google.com.

Also, Malwarebytes anti-malware and superantispyware is worth trying, though malwarebytes does not have real time protection in free version.

Restart You computer Safe Mode with Networking:

1. Log out and reboot your machine.

2. When the machine starts the reboot sequence, press the F8 key repeatedly.

3. Select Safe Mode with Networking from the resulting menu.

4. Login. If the malware has changed your password, try logging in as Administrator. By default, Administrator has no password.

Go to safe mode with networking. Then use combofix from bleepingcomputer.com, then go download malwarebytes from softpedia.com or cnet.com and use it, then clean the rest of the virus with superantispyware from softpedia.com or superantispyware.com, and for future protection use avira as antivirus and a good firewall such as Online Armor or Outpost Firewall or Comodo or PC Tools Firewall. Last resort is use a UBCD4win or if no clue then seek a professional.

i'm using avast home edition . The new version has been released on their website. It s a freeware. You can register yourself on the avast website to recive the registration key . They provide timely updates (small in size, ie. In kb's. Which s usefull for people with limited internet plans ). It s fully legal n it generates a virus recovery database to report avast about the new viruses .

To detect n delete malwares on your comp use malware bytes . Another free software . N a powerfull tool to clean your comp of malwares. I use these softwares myself .

If your computer is so infected, I suggest using your restore CD. This will create a fresh image of Windows. The downside is that all photos and documents will be lost. and you will need to reinstall any other software. You're also not helping us... You responded with "What do you mean?" be no one knows to whom you are directing that question.

the only way to completely get all of the adware and trojans off of it is to buy a remover, which could get expensive. i take mine to somebody's business and he gets it all off, it costed me $40 but now my computer is free of all those viruses and spyware. mine kept redirecting me to other sites too, but now it's good and working great.
