You cannot perform DDOs with your single desktop, first you need to infect other computers and they will send you packets to particular target. In that sense, attack will be distributed and no one can prevent it.in some cases, DDos cannot be even recognized for months. There are tons of Guides available on HOW TO DDOS. But it is not script kid job. It is something professional thing and illegal same time.

2- what is botnet ???? is it a computer virus ??

Botnets are infected computers who send packets to target or obbeys the commands from server.

3- is botnet or bots same thing?? why CAPTCHA is used by many websites while signup ???

CAPTCHA is used to prove that you are HUMAN not bot. Online forms can be filled up automatically and sent through bots. Hence, for the security concern, Bots are used to fillup such forms.

I will like to add some more info .

As they the "bots" are computer they can not solve the captcha by themself , they need a human to type the correct answer from the image . the thats why the site insures that the person registering is not a computer,

1. Setup a botnet.

2. A botnet is typically a series of infected computers that are waiting for commands from a master server. When a command is issued to the master server, it contacts the Bots and they do what they're told.

3. Bots create the botnet. CAPTCHA is designed to prevent automated registration.

1- You should still be able to spam UDP packets if you really want to, but don't expect one PC to really do anything of significance.

2- Pretty much a load of programs connected to the internet connecting to other similar programs to do something. Typically something for IRC or gaming, but sometimes used for hacking as well.

3- Because it's human verification, it's standard among website to prevent account spam.
