so how could i make my personal email accounts more private and secure. Like for my yahoo email and Gmail, and even youtube account.
yahoo email- I ask because i once logged into a company desktop computer to print something fast, check a new email from my inbox, and email myself a message/file. How can i make this email secure and private for now on, so even my employer and others can stop doing so for now on?

gmail- for some odd reason my nosy aunt added me to her circles on google/gmail. How did she get access to me, if i didnt even give her my gmail address? How can i prevent her and others from looking/peeking my inbox messages on my gmail along with other private and personal content?

youtube account- how can i make my youtube account more private and secure when i post comments on videos and in regard of my private youtube content?

Thanks in advance.

On a side note: what exactly is kaspersky lab and how does it help in regards of using it in your computer (e.g. detects hackers and antivirus) and also using it for facebook (e.g. detecting facebook stalkers)?

Problem #1: " i once logged into a company desktop computer".

Never use a device you do not own and control. You have no way of knowing the security, or the status of that machine, or what settings the browser has regarding retention of log-in information.

Problem #2: using Windows on the Internet.

Not even experts can be assured of complete and effective security about this OS, no matter what 'defenses' are on the machine.

Problem 3: Using G-mail.

Despite it's popularity, Google insists on modifying the Terms of Use (without full disclosure) which has led to the cross-pollination of user information across multiple services, under the misleading banner of "better user experience" and other hogwash. The masked reason is that it's done is for marketing: you are a commodity to them and the more you are spread around, the more money they make.

Problem #4: Yahoo must be manually set to use SSL ('secure' servers).

To take this essential step, in Yahoo Mail, cursor over the upper right 'gear'> Mail Options> General tab, near the bottom, check the box "Make your Yahoo! Mail more secure with SSL"> tick "Save" near the top.

Problem #5: You must carefully read & understand what a service's Terms of Service & Privacy Policy is when you sign up, plus; constantly monitor that service for any changes to those items. Many services modify things to improve their monetization of members (following the Google precedence).

If you use any computer or device on the Internet, you must become a security expert; it's that simple.

The mobile security section includes hands-on guides for a number of Freeware or Open Source smartphone applications which will help to make your smartphone use more secure. As with the hands-on guides for computer applications, they guide you through the process of downloading and configuring the applications, and include screenshots and step-by-step instructions to help you follow along.

The applications can be downloaded in .apk-file form from the developers' websites by following the link provided in the relevant hands-on guide. They can also be found in the Google Play store.

For security reasons, you should always try to use the current version of these tools. The included version of some tools may be more recent than the version that was used to create the corresponding Hands-on Guide. In such cases, the user interface of that tool may differ differ slightly from what is shown in the Guide.

The hands-on guides included in the mobile security section are currently only available on Android devices. However, they will be expanded to include iPhone applications in the near future.

Privacy and security of your account along with your data is most important thing.

I am telling you those steps that you can do your accounts secure and private for your browsing:

(i) you need go to your account setting and find out privacy settings. There you can do it by adding your mobile number so that the complete authorization will be yours as you will get messages the number that you have provided after logging in to your account.

For example: In gmail, you should enable 2 step varification option by activating your existing contact number.it will alert you every time when you access your account.

(ii) you need to use "https://" extension before your URL name instead of "www" for secure browsing.

Hope you feel great after following these guidelines.
