I'm running Windows XP, and I downloaded a program(Quick Heal Total Security 2008 9.0 version). Somewhere while installing, it wasn't responding(I ended the program, and restarted my computer) now my computer keeps telling me that there's no virus protection(but it has an icon in my taskbar and it says my computer is in safe mode etc.). And when I tried to add another virus protection program it said I had to remove the one I already had. What I want to know is how in the heck do I remove that program when I can't for the life of me even find it to begin with! For the one who can help me, much thanks to you in advance!♥

Quite an interesting problem. Quick Heal is a paid product. Did you download a cracked copy? I'd be cautious about the product based on their website. They claim a VB score of 100% on 'in the wild' viruses. I'm a VB subscriber and can't remember anyone ever getting 100%. They also claim to use Agnitum's virus engine and I know that it's failed on VB.

Go to my computer>C-Drive>Program Files and look for the folder it should be in. Right click and delete. Download two programs. CCleaner and Spybot S&D. To install CCleaner >uncheck yahoo toolbar and start up. To install Spybot> uncheck the teatimer. Install, search for updates and then press the immunise button twice until there are no 'unptotected' left. Run CCleaner first and then run a Spybot scan. It can take over an hour dependent on your PC. Let it delete anything it finds. Run CCleaner and let it clean anything it finds (use default settings).

If you've gotten rid of Quick Heal, I'd just opt for AVG free. It's popular, it does very well on VB all the time. It works well with XP. You can email me if you get stuck.

Try this, it could paintings, nevertheless it could now not. Go to the begin menu, all programmes and discover wherein the application is... When you to Right Click it and click on 'Remove' or 'Delete'. That's all I can feel of. :) x

Try installing the first one again and let it finish. That way you will get the opportunity to uninstall it the proper way, through the Control Panel.
